案内 Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh set codes
How to read a code such as YAC1-JP073, and why the rarity and the artwork color are separate from the number.
A Japanese listing price belongs to a set code plus a finish. The number alone is the card’s place in the set. The glossary defines the rarity words. The rarity decoder is the longer finish list.
The pieces of YAC1-JP073
| Piece | Example | What it identifies |
|---|---|---|
| Set | YAC1 | Original Artwork Collection, released 26 September 2026, pack price ¥396 tax-in on Konami’s product page |
| Language and number | JP073 | Card 073 in the Japanese set list |
| Finish | SE or UR | Secret or Ultra. Written beside the code, not inside it |
| Artwork | カラー or モノクロ | Color or monochrome manga style, for the names that have both |
YAC1-JP073 therefore has more than one page. Color Secret, monochrome Secret, and color Ultra are the three printings with sourced prices. The rarity notes on this site say each of JP071–JP100 exists as Ultra and Secret, in color and in mono. A monochrome Ultra price for JP073 is not in the card file.
Konami’s product page is the set source: YAC1. The canonical price page for the set is Original Artwork Collection prices. Shorter aliases point at that URL.
Codes with one stored printing
Most YAC1 codes in this catalog have one priced printing. YAC1-JP071 is the Dark Magician color Secret. YAC1-JP072 is the Red-Eyes color Secret. YAC1-JP004 is 神を超えたしもべ-青眼の究極竜. That card is a different name from 青眼の白龍. A visit to /cards/yac1-jp071 opens the color Secret page, the only stored printing for that code.
Misreads
Zero and the letter O are different characters. A full-width hyphen in a Japanese name is a different character from a half-width hyphen. The set code itself is ASCII: YAC1-JP073. Pair it with シークレット or ウルトラ, and with カラー or モノクロ when the name is a manga-style printing. The title checker reads those words. It does not see the photo.
The valuation guide is the next step once the code and the finish match a page.
