案内 How to read a Japan card price
Sold, shop ask, opening video, and buy price. Headlines are the 13 October 2026 CardRush asks. The September sheet is still on the page.
A yen figure without a label is how launch weekend goes wrong. The YAC1 sheet kept four kinds of number apart. The price pages use the same labels.
Sold
A sold is someone paying. The best YAC1 rows name the marketplace and, when the sheet had it, the post. Red-Eyes color Secret has a Mercari sold at ¥4,600 with a link. Blue-Eyes color Secret has a ¥19,000 Mercari figure with no link, because the sheet did not record one. Both are labeled. The missing link is part of the label, not a secret source.
A sold from Saturday can be stale by Sunday. The Over-Frame Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon had a Mercari sold at ¥18,500 and a later Yahoo cluster at ¥13,500–¥15,000. The working range followed the later cluster and still showed the Mercari sale. Hiding the high sold would have been a second kind of invention.
Shop ask
遊々亭 and the shop ranks on あいすの隠れ家 are asks. They are what a store wanted, or a blog’s read of shop prices. They are not proof a buyer paid it. On launch morning some asks sat under the later solds and some sat far over. JP004 was ranked at ¥27,800 while the working band ended at ¥17,800. Both numbers are on the page.
Opening video
CardStack’s color-manga video is a timestamp of the first hours. It is useful, and it was often high. Dark Magician color Secret was ¥7,980 on the video and nearer ¥3,500 in the working range. The page shows both and says which one the sheet trusted more.
Buy price
買取 is the price a shop pays you. It is a floor under the retail market only in a loose sense, and sometimes it is not even that. One mono Blue-Eyes buy post was ¥13,000 against a Mercari sold at ¥7,000. The sheet kept buy prices out of the working estimate. We show them with a red label so they are not mistaken for a sale.
What we will not print
No US marketplace column. No “fair price” that is not in the sheet. No Grand Master Rare price, because the sheet’s day-one retail cell was empty. If you need today’s number, the September sheet will not give it to you. It will tell you what kind of evidence a real number has to be.
Take the working point into the calculator only as the item price, then add the proxy. The landed cost is a different question from the Japan price, and mixing them is how a ¥18,000 card becomes a story about a ¥40 shipping shock with no arithmetic attached.
Questions
What is a working range?
On the YAC1 pages it is the 27 September 2026 sheet’s synthesis of the labeled solds and shop figures. It is not a new receipt and not a price anyone is offering you.
Why is there no eBay price?
A US price we did not look up would be an invented number. The pages leave it off.
