案内 What domestic Japan shipping adds to one card
When a Japanese listing’s shipping is already in the price, and when Buyee’s ¥500 domestic service fee shows up.
Domestic shipping is the trip from the seller to the proxy warehouse. It is not the flight to your country. People double-count it, or they miss it, and both mistakes are expensive in opposite directions.
Included versus extra
送料込み, or a Mercari listing whose shipping method is already selected and priced into the button, means you should not add a second domestic number. The calculator defaults to ¥0 for that reason.
If the seller lists shipping separately, type their yen amount. Buyee’s fee page says domestic shipping generally falls between ¥150 and ¥1,500. That sentence is a range they published. It is marked Estimate in our file because it is not the charge for your parcel. Do not add ¥1,500 “just in case” on top of a seller who already quoted ¥300.
A single sleeved card is light. The domestic fee is about the seller’s prefecture and the service they picked, not about the card being a Secret Rare.
Buyee’s extra ¥500
The domestic shipping rate page says the total includes the carrier table plus a domestic delivery service fee of ¥500. That is a real published fee. It is off by default in the calculator because Mercari checkouts often never show it. Read your invoice. If ¥500 is there, tick the box. If you tick it when it is not there, you have invented a fee, which is the thing this site is trying not to do.
What this is not
International postage is the next line, and it is larger. EMS up to 500g to the United States was ¥3,900 on Japan Post’s table on 13 October 2026. Domestic shipping does not replace that. The calculator keeps them in separate fields so a 送料込み card does not look free to ship to Ohio.
ZenMarket’s fee page says you sometimes pay domestic shipping and you sometimes do not, and that you never pay Japanese bank-transfer fees. Their service fee is separate and does not shrink when domestic shipping is free.
Questions
What does 送料込み mean?
Shipping included. The price you see is the price to the proxy’s warehouse, or at least the seller is not adding a second domestic charge. Type ¥0 in the calculator.
Does Buyee always add ¥500 for domestic shipping?
Their domestic rate page says the charge is carrier cost plus a ¥500 service fee. Turn that line on only when the checkout shows it.
